Gujarat University has been leading the startup movement in Gujarat. The efforts undertaken by Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC) have been noted to be highly impactful to the rapid and accelerated growth of Gujarat’s startup ecosystem. To further contribute to the development of the startup and innovation ecosystem of the state, GUSEC under the aegis of Gujarat University is establishing the Institute of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Skills (IIES).
With the third largest ecosystem in the world, India is a rapidly growing developing economy and is displaying a prominent show of entrepreneurship through innovation. About 65% of India’s population is less than the age of 35. It becomes essential, then, to accelerate the country’s growth and align its trajectory with the skill development and empowerment of the youth – and there’s no better place to nurture the same than the vibrant state of Gujarat, the #1 state for startups in the country in the inaugural and succeeding States Startup Rankings issued by the Government of India.
